Grenada National Resort: 2024 Q2 Construction Update
Grenada National Resort (GNR), developed by Heng Sheng Group (HSG), is the largest Citizenship by Investment (CBI)-approved project in Grenada, setting a new benchmark for luxury tourism and residential investment in the Caribbean. Spanning more than 400 acres in the northern Levera part of Grenada, GNR will feature world-class amenities, including 500 ocean-view suites, an 18-hole golf course, a casino, an amusement park, helipads, and a yacht marina.
On-Site Infrastructure and Construction Achievements
Substantial progress was made in establishing the project’s operational backbone. The construction and commissioning of vital temporary site facilities—including tower cranes, a brick plant, concrete mixing stations, material storage yards, rebar and carpentry sheds, cement warehouses, site entrances, and sanitation installations—were completed and put to use.
Structural foundations advanced with the installation of 280 screw piles, while 50% of foundational works outside the golf clubhouse pile foundation, such as pile caps, ground beams, and slabs, were also achieved. These steps provide a solid base for the next phases of vertical construction and future development throughout 2024.

Strengthening Oversight and Compliance
The first quarter of 2024 opened with a detailed review of the construction, water, and electrical plans for the golf clubhouse by the general contractor. Early in January, representatives from the Grenada Planning and Development Authority (PDA) and the Environmental Protection Department conducted on-site inspections, identifying and ensuring the swift resolution of compliance issues. Project teams from Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Unit (CBIU) conducted regular site visits.

Key Material Arrivals and Site Logistics
February and March brought significant logistical milestones. Essential construction materials—formwork, scaffolding, fasteners, and equipment—arrived at the Port of Grenada and were delivered to the project site. March saw the completion of the first major procurement batch, with 23 containers arriving on site and supporting a rapid expansion of works for both the hotel and golf clubhouse, underscoring GNR’s efficient supply chain management.
